egg pic and a few questions! *UPDATE*

well now im really confused! so since everyone and the chart too, say that cochins only lay brownish eggs and that it was probably my rir pullet laying the little white egg, i was convinced.
so i went out this afternoon to check for any eggs, and none. then later i went out and saw my cochin hen in the box!! so about 30-45 minutes later i went to check if she left me anything, and there was a little white egg!! either i have a white egg laying cochin, or my chickies are conspiring against me, and the rir layed it and then the cochin went in to lay on it and fool me!

any thoughts?!

I couldn't tell by the photos but what color earlobes does your cochin have. Maybe one of them is not a purebred?
After another look at the photos, what color are the RIR earlobes. I had first thought they were white but now I am not sure.

 

[Break an Egg]

Cochins will lay a light brown or off white egg , and rirs lay brown eggs. The poster that mentioned that the rirs earlobes are white, therefore, she will lay white eggs is incorrect. Those rirs I saw in the picture had red lobes, just not mature enough for lobes or combs to be really red. That said, I don't think the rirs are laying now, I bet it's the cochin that laid that egg.
