Here's an egg from one of my dark cornish hens:

I just have a question: Some of the eggs don't look the color they are listed as.
Cochin
Sussex
Wyandotte

Are the right photos with the right breeds there?

and the Barred Rock photo looks good when it's big, but smaller it looks olive-colored.

I only have black sex-link's laying right now, so sorry i can't help yet. Hopefully we'll have White faced Black Spanish soon!

Here's a Sicilian Buttercup egg. Terrible photo. I'll take a better one next time she lays--tomorrow or the next day. Please feel free to PM me if I forget ...

Clockwise from top: Black Sex link, Porcelain D'Uccle, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, EE, Light Brown Leghorn... and a fart egg in the middle.

Perhaps you can use it somewhere....

Thank-you but I have all those breeds but thanks for trying

Hello,
Do you have chantecler egg pic yet? I have partridge chanties and can get pics tonight, looks like you just got Sicilian buttercup pic so that's good. I have those too, they are a good size egg for such a small bird. I laughed to see the black Sumatra eggs on the thread, we have one that lays rectangular eggs too! We have Wheaten Penny eggs too, don't know if you are differentiating between the colours of breed? Our welsummer eggs are can be spotty like that too! The egg chart is a great idea!

Partridge Chantecler eggs.

Usually grade out at Medium size. Shades of brown varies between birds and within the cycle of a bird. Some are lightly freckled, and some are darker at one end. Mostly non-shiny finish, condensation starting as 4/6 of these were out of fridge. Hope that helps. Claire
