Egg position during hatch

Just curious as to how some of you set your eggs during lockdown/hatch stage.
I usualy place my eggs flat during the hatch period. I have 24 eggs going in lockdown today and was thinking of putting them in egg cartons this time and was just lookin for the pros and cons(if any) versus laying them flat or placing them in cartons.

i lay mine flat so far i have 8 hatched today and waiting to see if anymore break out of their shell

I incubate and hatch in cartons. I really like doing it that way. The chicks just pop right out of the eggs.
