Egg question

You just never know I have heard Pekins aren't either but have seen proof here that they can and will hatch ducklings so nothing is carved in stone. My Runner eggs came from Runners that were brooders but in almost 2 yrs of having mine hatch here none have showed an interest. But having Muscovy's who needs any other breed to brood?
I am thinking about getting some more ducks thinking about two Pekin and one or two Muscovy.

Muscoy's love to brood so keep that in mind because you can get over run with ducklings pretty easy. lol
If you do decide on getting more and Muscovy is on your list I do rec 2 because they really like having one of their own kind they don't speak the same language as other domestics.

I checked today and I have found 11 eggs but neither female is sitting from what I can tell. They are both out of the house when I get home. Will it help if I put them all in one place?

Some Hens no matter how many eggs you leave will never set to hatch them..Hormones in the Hen trigger her to set.
I understand that I was just asking if it might help trigger those hormones. I really want at least one of them to sit and hatch some. It is still kinda cool here it is bouncing from 40’s to low 60’s.

You won’t know if you don’t try. Keep it up and see what happens!

I’ve thought about asking one of my friends who has chickens to see if they will set on the eggs if my girls never go broody.
