My hen got off her eggs that are 19-20 days old and got on another nest overnight for whatever reason and when I checked on her this morning the eggs were cold and we have just had an ice storm here in Arkansas. I immediately put her back on them and they were warming up quickly but has anyone else had that to happen and is there a remote possibility the chicks will survive? I know it all depends on circumstances and eggs etc. but I was just curious. I am watching her to see what happens tonight. I don’t have any cameras out there.

Take heart. Some may still hatch.

I had a broody accident one year where Momma got out of the coop, mistaken for another bird, put into the WRONG coop instead of the broody hutch.

It was of course winter. Eggs were cold by morning. I had about a 30% hatch, but I did get a few.

Good luck. :fl
