One of my girls just started laying eggs last week but I am not sure if it is one or two laying. So far since last tuesday I have 11 eggs... odd number right, and there were 2 on friday and then 2 today... I am not sure what is going on. The egg size varries... there is a consistant small one and then there is a "regular" size small egg which I just found out are double yolks!!! I have had 3 double yoks from not double yolk size eggs... is this odd??? Should I be worried... they taste and smell great!!!

I would be worried if double yolks are the norm with your hens.... there may be something not going right in far the eggs if you get two eggs in one day it is safe to say you have two laying hens... sorry about my grammer....

Quote:What kinda things wrong? They eat good, and seem happy... could it be that she is young? my mom buys double yolk eggs at the farmers market so I didnt know that it meant something was wrong.
