Egg refrigerator outside - will cold temps kill it?

We have one of those little cube refrigerators that we keep on our enclosed, but unheated front porch. I believe that I might have paid about $49 for it. It was originally used for "overflow" stuff when we had family dinners and holiday cooking going on. Then we found that it was handy for soft drinks and things so that they stay cold without taking up fridge space and our grandkids always knew where to look. Most recently, for at least 3 years, we've used it for storing both chicken and quail eggs that we are planning to sell. We're in MI, and it gets darned cold here, and have had this fridge now for almost 6 years, with absolutely no problems. It keeps things just the right temp without freezing or spoiling.

Gee - thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. Seems that I need to see if the manufacturer addresses how low a temp is OK without harming the fridge. Sounds like a good number of you have done what I'm doing with no problem - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't run into any problems. The self-serve egg pick-up sure has made my life easier.

Best,

Linda
