That should dry up and fall off soon. You can dab a little neosporin if you want.

I can’t tell how much is attached, but when it gets to just a tiny thread, you can clip it about an inch away from the belly. Keep it on that soft towel until it’s moving around and the belly heals up. Outside it would be more susceptible to infection.
Thanks!! I ended placing s/he in a cup until it dried as it was starting jump around the incubator and I didn’t want disembowelment. I then clipped the thread thing and placed it in the nest with mom a few hours ago. Just checked on it and it’s all gone and babe is starting to fluff up!
