Egg Softspot???

Hey guys, I bought a buff standard cochin (hen and rooster) at a show 2 weeks ago. The first egg she laid for me was fine, it is in my incubator now. But the last two eggs that she laid for me there was a softspot about the size of a dime right in the middle of the egg. The embreo didn't break, only the shell did. The whole egg wasn't like that, only one spot about the size of a dime, the rest of the egg was fairly hard.

She is about 6 months old btw

I have had eggs where about 1/2 of the shell was like you described. Have you tried giving her oyster shell? That was the solution for me.

Yeah, am giving here oyster shell with her food, but I think that she is so young, her eggs aren't at her best of ofcourse! I will continue with the eggshells!
