Egg Song?? Egg Squat??

The videos are hilarious, my dog just stops what she's doing and stares at the screen, lol. I've never seen her watch like that, so serious, she is never usually phased by the tv, etc..

Someone asked would a Buff Orp sound the same way... Mine does, she sings it every morning. Only problem is that she never lays. Does anyone know why that would be? We've only had her a little over a week, but that is definitely her song. She's getting old, though (2 yrs), so maybe it's just habit. She layed on her old farm, I wonder if she just doesn't like us.

You should have seen my hubbys face when I showed him the video. He was all disappointed, like "that, is the egg song?" We just thought it was Margaret's song...

Anyone else have a singing, squatting nonlayer?

I have one who seems to just be practicing her song. She looks way to small yet to lay but she's heard my RIR who is laying sing plenty and she's even sat on one of the nests for quite some time.

This is Tilly. She sits on a nest when Lexie does, but doesn't lay. Then she sings when Lexie is done and gets Lexie going.

Miss Tilly (she's earned it) has gone broody after about a week or so of laying! She's a funny little thing. Just thought I'd update this thread.
