Egg stuck on quail

Well, not sure what to do. This is a 5-6 week old bird trying to lay. Looks like she tried pooping out the egg and her lining went with it. What should I do?

That looks really bad. Vent prolapse can be treated, but with the egg stuck in there, I don't know. If it were me I would consider culling.
 
I had a button quail with this exact issue. My daughter managed to remove the egg. Treated with some antibiotics but she did not survive.
 
I culled her. She had a second egg inside of her...

Sorry for your loss. It's always sad when these things happen, but I think you did the right thing. I don't think she could have survived even with treatment.
 
I'm sorry to ask this, I know this must have been hard. But for future reference for myself if this ever happens to one of mine. What is the quickest, most humane possible way of culling?
