egg turners and lockdown

does anyone leave their egg turners in the incubator during lockdown? Doesn't seem right to me but I did see a picture with new hatchs in incubator with egg turner still in.

I think the chicks can get their legs caught in them. I'd pull them out.

If you leave the racks running, like when I forget to lockdown, they will get squished between the racks. If you turn the racks off, the chicks don't have secure footing on the plastic and fall & trip all over the place and get wedged into the gaps between the racks and the frame, and between the frame and the sides of the bator and it's an ugly scene.

Yes, I have done both Intentionally because I have had the same question, The racks are cause for too much error. It is much easier and less stressful to just take the racks out and lay the eggs down to hatch.
