After a great deal of anticipation, I finally got my first egg mid-last week from my new flock. My EE, Neko, has since given me an egg every other day at lunchtime! I finally decided to scramble a couple this morning and when I cracked open the second (cracked them in the order I got them), I found a small peanut-sized, white clump in the egg. I scooped it out and proceeded to cook up the egg. Any ideas on what this is??

It appears to be an egg within an egg and it is what some call a "fart egg". "Fart eggs" are yolkless eggs produced by chickens new to laying eggs (like yours) or older hens who's laying days are coming to an end or a hen with "women problems" same goes with egg in an egg you happened to hit a grand slam on this one. egg in egg is when one either goes backward in the plumbing or just decides not to come out and the hen makes another egg around it. you may even get a few double yolkers since they are so young.
