So,there’s been rough events when my pigeon Usain flew away, and my female pigeon Penelope not caring for her egg. Because Usain is very important, I’m trying my best to keep this egg alive. This post is a Follow Up of my previous one “my pet pigeon flew away”. Here are some pictures I am concerned about. I hardly see any moving and I’m very scared. When the egg was in the care of its parents, it would blink spin and dance. However, the dark spot or what I’m guessing is the body has been near the fat vein. I’m wondering if it’s dead or not

I think it is probably dead sorry. I went through a similar situation like this before. A turkey decided to sit on some fertile duck eggs, I candeled them and all was going well. They in a few days she gets hungry I guess, I fed her plenty, and ate all the eggs but one. I tried constructing a homemade incubator for hours to keep it alive, but to no success. Sometimes things like this just happen and it really sucks.

Oh also I understand how you feel trying to keep her egg alive after you lost her. Same story about the turkey. I had a male duck and a female duck that both were killed by racooons and I was pretty sure that those were there eggs. Thought it would be so great to have a little miracle duckling hatch.
