Egg Wisperer

Any egg wisperers here? I've got 10 hens and 2 roos in the cage, this is week 9 and best I can figure I only have 3 ladies laying eggs. Any secrets or am I being too impatient? No signs of bullying. I've just culled 8 roos could that change have stopped production?

Game Bird Starter and supplementation oyster shells. I have a sand bath they love, where they've been putting their eggs. Plenty of water.

I was once told this saying:

They will lay when they lay, and don't expect it a minute before.

I stick to that a lot!

I have had batches that only started laying at 12 weeks, then some at 6. It's all about the weather, how they are feeling, and luck. I'd give it a while longer before I freak out, because they all will eventually. If you have to, put them in smaller pens so you can see who is and is not laying. Then, if you have doubts about the sexes, it'll give you a better idea.
