Egg with blood on shell

So, just an update on Cleo and her eggs. Tuesday, she laid an egg with blood, although a smaller amount. Wednesday, she did not lay an egg at all. Yesterday, pretty sure she did lay an egg (there were 9/10 eggs from all of them), but there was some dried yolk on a couple of the other eggs, so it must have broken (which has happened to various eggs in the favorite nest box), or perhaps shell-less. I don't know for sure without having been there to see her lay it.
And today, another egg with blood on it :idunnoBUT, I know @Geckolady said hers laid one for about a week, so I am not worried too much about it just yet, as she is still acting healthy. So, next time I update will be either when she has a clean egg, or if she starts acting sick and/or it has been more than a week with a bloody egg.

And because I am talking about her, I suppose I can attach a photo of Cleo herself

Here is a picture of one of Whisper's eggs from that time. Like you, :) I panicked and came to the board, and was told that pullets starting to lay sometimes have bloody eggs at first. If your girl is acting sick or showing other symptoms, by all means ask the experts here. Whisper was small as a pullet before catching up in size. I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Okay, final update! Cleo laid a clean egg without blood today. :woot
So, for any person like me out there that happens upon this thread with a similar issue, just know that yes, your hen can lay bloody eggs, sometimes for up to a week. If she isn't acting sick, she's probably going to be just fine. I perhaps made this thread a little too hastily, but now that it's here I may as well give it an ending lol, which luckily, is a happy one
