Egg with many ridges outside, and a lot of blood inside

Eggs with lots of ridges like you described are not all that unusual. I wrote a blog post on how eggs are made and how odd egg shells like yours occur. http://eggcartonlabels.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-hen-makes-egg-egg-oddities.html

While blood spots in eggs are not uncommon, the amount of blood you describe is. I am concerned that there may be some type of problem in the reporductive tract causing that amount of blood in the egg. I'm thinking maybe a tear in the wall of the reprouductive tract prior to the shell gland. My blog explains the cause of a normal blood spot or meat spot but this doesn't sound like a regular meat or blood spot.
