Egg with umbilcus?

I found an egg with what can only be described as an umbilicus sticking out of one end!

What IS this and did it hurt the hen????

Sometimes things misfire. Is she acting like she's hurt? If not, don't sweat it, every now and then they just have a fluke freak egg.

I found a duck egg once with a tail. It was a tube of shell filled with white, about the size of my pinky finger.​
