I have an egg that had a small Crack that I sealed with wax. It has grown normal and there has been movement all the way through. They are now on day 18/19. Will that one egg have an issue hatching because of the wax? If so should I take the wax off? If so when?

A picture would be helpful but if it's only a small amount it's probably fine.

I'd just keep an eye on it if the wax is covering the area the chick would be likely to pip from.

Its about where it would pip/zip
Personally I would just keep an eye out for signs the chick is trying to pip in a spot covered by the wax, like the wax flaking or cracking or seeming to be pushed up, or cracks or movement visible in the egg shell underneath.

Others may have different advice but that's what I've done with patched eggs in the past.

If the crack was only minor it probably wouldn't hurt if you did decide to carefully remove some of the wax, but I'd be worried about cracking the egg further if it was more than a tiny crack to begin with.

Thank you
