Eggbid Issues

I agree. I like the way it is now. I come here to avoid all the non-sense that eggbid and ebay seem to cause. This site, the way it is now, seems more, well, personal...I like it.

The thing I like about eggbid is that I can list several different auctions and at the end, all the information I need to bill is right there handy for me. The e-mails I receive when the auction is complete lets me keep a record of who has purchased from me before.

It just easier for record keeping. If you want to run a free auction here on BYC it's a lot more time consuming. I like the format better for auctions on eggbid also, it's just a tad bit more private.

I also run 5-6 auctions a week.

Me, I'd rather just keep a few notes on a scratch pad and keep a few dollars to myself. To each his own. If they do make a pay auction area, I do hope they do not make free, done by hand acutions outlawed.

Great discussion everyone!

Please know that we've been working on related ideas for years. We don't usually release things without a lot of discussion and analysis on how it will impact the community. We always try to find what is best for our community as a whole without putting too much stress on the moderators or our budget.

We've got some things in mind and will keep you posted. In the interim, feel free to continue to brainstorm ideas... we're not perfect and are open to suggestions.

I to contacted eggbid for credits that people would bid and not pay. Never got credited and I contacted them about get three negative feedbacks from the same person for 1 item that they never even paid for and got no response. Why should i have to pay for something I never sold because of fraud bidding. Also Why should I have to suffer with 3 negative feedbacks in a row for the same item that they never paid for. You should only be able to leave 1 feedback. I know the rules say you can only leave one but it should be disabled so that you can only leave 1. I have emailed them several times to get no response.

Please keep in mind I have no idea how a website is run behind the scenes so my question might just make some of you think I am dumb as a box of rocks. So what would be the problem with keeping the free thing the way it is right now on BYC and adding a more elaborate paying auction section for those that would like a way of keeping track of things a little better as one person suggested. That way if anyone wanted to pay and have a more detailed thing going on then they could and for those that want to use a post it note like myself we still have the free section?

What is there to keep track of? IF you are on BYC then you have a computer and are able to make your own records..i dont think i'd trust a website to keep my sale records for me anyway...just my opinion..
