I had a 4 month young Rhode Island Red die a few days ago unexpectantly. The day prior I found it all puffed ip in the coop than the next day I found it dead in the side of the coop. I am thinking she was eggbound due to her being new to laying or could it be a disease? Should I be worried about any diseases? Any advice will help thanks.

It’s hard to tell without much detail. “Puffed up” can mean a lot of things, but egg binding is not uncommon. If the symptoms came up suddenly then egg binding is what I would want to blame.

You could have a necropsy done to find out.
