Eggbound Marans... Geebs needs some help here!!! How long??

How long do ya leave em in the tub till the problem resolves????

I had a RIR in the tub for a good couple hours once...even lubed-up a (gloved) finger and used it to lube the egg chute. Unfortunately, in this case it was not eggbound, but an internal layer. You ought to be able to feel an egg if you do go in.

edit: I did this based on info. from searching BYC and it was like two years ago, so I hope it's not the exact wrong thing to do.
