So Far, no hatching. But a Spy Camera in the Duck House on Mommie/Aunty's Nests. They turned their eggs about every hour during the night. It is still freezing. They have not left their nests, for any reason. Mr Drake tryed to get Mommie to get up and eat and she flat refused him. I went out and opened the pop door so he could wander their yard. He goes in and just checks on them every few hours this morning.
Auntie didn't start sitting until the troff of eggs was made and they split the eggs into two nests, about a week or week and a half after Mommie started to sit. So may have another week and a half for the later eggs to hatch. THey will be Auntie and Snow Whites Eggs.
Does anyone know, if I put the Ducklings in the Brooder house for a week or two at the most, would they take them back and raise them? Would I have to continue Brooding them? My Brooder house is small, its only 21 square feet and there are at least 18 Eggs, I know they rotate layers, so there are probably more. I would have 8-11 10 Weeks old chicks still in the Brooder, I could divide it off, though. I could Incubate them, but then what do I do with them, after 2 weeks. The girls really need to hatch and raise their own.
Sorry the Camera won't hook to my computer Vista and its OS is XP, so I'm watching them on an old T.V.
Oh, Aunties off the main nest. Mommies moved to thaat nest to turn the eggs and sit while she's gone to eat.
