I have hatched eggs several times a year, every year, since 2004. I still get excited about the first hatch of the year.

This time it is RIR eggs from a friend. His eggs my incubator and we split chicks 50/50.

The first pipped its aircell about 1:20 am last night. Took it till 6pm to pop out. Then another around 8pm and the 3rd about 10. Just 36 more eggs to go.

33 sleeping in the brooder, 2 still drying in the incubator, 1 pipped, and 3 not pipped.

I think the old hovabator worked fairly well.

The one pipped has pipped the wrong end, but still seems strong and has a large hole. If it makes no progress by morning I will help slowly.
