Cheyenne, so far just the one, he/she is kind of a charcoal color? I am hoping for more!

Seems like some kinds of eggs I am really not that great at hatching, even when I follow directions, until I hit on a "method".

Sigh. Well, just the one. I opened the other eggs today and there was no development so I am thinking that hole punched through the box did more damage than what I thought.

I have the little guy in a smaller area where he cant get into trouble and can stay warm, have food. I gave him some boiled egg and a little crushed up cat food.
I WILL try button quail again, maybe later this summer, but for now will concentrate on what I have in the incubator and what is coming. When I incubate button quail again, I want them to be the only eggs I am working with, though again, I followed directions and was very careful with them.

Hi Scott, I have been looking at that auction but havent bid because realistically I cant do anything for a couple of weeks.
White cochins are one of my favorites!
