Eggs are here :)Paganbirds and MagsC's hatching thread!!UpdateMarch16!

I'll post pics when they're all out & fluffy.
I have 3 ducklings now... all different!
One yellow duckling - hatched from a creamy white egg, the biggest egg
One grey duckling with a white throat - hatched from a creamy colored egg
One black & white duckling - hatched from the lightest, whitest egg
They are sleeping & fluffing up in the hatching tray.
The last egg has movement, but no pip yet. I think it's the same kind of egg that the swede hatched from... at least I can hope!

LOL!
I have no idea.

I just see that it's yellow. Now, if it were a chicken... I know chicken colors/breeds. No idea with the ducklings, though!
LOL!

Now that they've dried & fluffed a bit, the yellow duckie looks a bit more golden brown in places. I also think that it's golden beak suggests harlequin. Pekins have more of a pink beak, don't they?
Egg #4 never pipped. I should have intervened last night, but I wanted to give it time. I opened it today, but it was too late. It never even pipped the membrane. Looked like another ancona.
So I have 3 beautiful ducklings. I LOVE that ancona. it just always looks to be smiling!
Pic will have to wait until later...
today is my daughter's 5th birthday & we are going out to have fun!

awwwww! Their so cute! Paganbird.....I got your PM and had to check out the pics! I think you're right, it doesn't look pekin. Here's my pekin when it was day old to compare it with.

Somebody should have warned me!
I knew they'd be cute, but they're waaaaay cute-er than I expected.
I wasn't planning on keeping any.
We'll see how that goes!
