They are so cute! I do think that is a harlequin, our pekin was stark yellow with a bright pink beak as a duckling. I am sorry to hear about the 4th duckling but it's really neat that from what hatched you got 3 different ducklings :o)

Happy 5th birthday to your daughter! Today is mine and Dh's anniversary and those duckling pictures were the best present we could have asked for, thanks!!

Paganbird, those ducklings are soooooooo darling!! I still only have the two but they are healthy and doing well. No more ducks in the incubator and will check those eggs and toss if they arent hatching by tomorrow night.
On another good note, so far I have four baby button quail in the incubator!! One kind of blondish looking little one. I cant believe how tiny they are!!!
The 10 chicks I have left (lost one early on) are doing wonderfully.
Going on lockdown tonight (?) for the silkie/sizzle, silkie and salmon faverolle cross eggs then the other mixed eggs in a couple of days.
I am moving the guinea eggs to the old duck incubator after I determine if any more ducks will hatch and I believe they are due on March 4th.

Hey Mags, how is it going?

Hi Mary!! Well, like I said, your eggs will be the second lockdown of this week, lol. So far from what I can tell (famous last words, I thought sonew123s eggs looked good and only had one hatch out of an olive egg, lol!!) they look like they are good to go.
Guinea eggs are HARD to candle so not sure on those.
Hope all is going well with you!!

that you have a great hatch!

Are your geese or turkeys laying yet? I did win a presale auction for four pilgrim goose eggs and had checked with someone else about chinese goose eggs but hadnt heard anything at this point.
LOL, yeah, I know, like I need more eggs!!!
Though going to be starting some more chicken eggs in March. Lakenvelders and a couple sets of mixed eggs.
Right now I am boiling up some egg for the little button quail.
I might have to put some feed in the blender, they are just so itty bitty!!!!!!!
Congrats on your guineas!!!

I'd love to get some quail...just kinda nervous about starting something new lol My turkey is laying...every other day..(only have 4 eggs)...geese still nothing yet...but i know it should be soon...the gander is being a butt...haha

Quail are actually pretty easy, at least the bigger ones I have had? Coturnix especially.
Keep me in mind for a half and half order(turkey and geese) when the geese start to lay eggs!

So what colors did you get out of your guinea eggs that hatched?

Well, now I am anxious to see what I get, if anything...

Six baby buttons now, I was worried about them hatching because I had a temperature spike and those little eggs are so delicate.
