Geeeze! I was gone all day yesterday and missed the rest of the excitement. Beautiful chicks! Any other action happening with the eggs today.

Well I had to help chick no 11 (he was supposed to be 10) Anyway he zipped most all the way yesterday, but just didn't get the job done. The egg was right near the fan so I was afraid it would dry out. I watched it and the breathing got more labored. So I decided to get it out of there. The shell was glued on. He's out. Had me worried for a while there laying sprawled out on the bator floor. But he's moving now and yell it's fool lungs out, so I think he'll be ok.

I have another pip that looks very dry. I might moisten it.

The last one pipped died. I don't know what I could have done differently. I had to open it to get the chicks out, but I just snuck them out. Humidity didn't drop below 60% at any time. So I guess I saved one and lost one. Very bummed. I think the last one just took too long too, and the membrain was to dry. I'm guessing this hatch is over.
