Yep that is all we can do now... I can forsee me candling them a bunch...XD Last year I candled Peep's egg so much because I loved watching how much he was growing.

When should a person candle pea eggs?

I candle after 7 days. With a decent candler, you can easily see growth by then.

How's everybody's hatch going? I candled mine last night & saw clear evidence of veins & moving "blobs"!!

I had my first Purple hatch yesterday,,,not sure of which hen it came from,but betting a purple b/s hen since there are 2 of them in that pen,and they are older than the 3 purple hens I raised that are also in the pen.Dad is a Purple B/S silver pied.

Band,did these hatch from that cabinet bator you bought last year at KKK swap? I have 9 eggs due to hatch on my b-day,just checked them all and they are all moving and have the air sacks broken,,none pipped yet tho.

So far out of the first six eggs only the pied and a bronze blackshoulser hatched. They were a day early so leaving the rest to see if they POP out also.

YAY!!! I just hatched 2 chicks yesterday (out of "2" eggs)....I LOVE this time of year!

I've got 7 white turkey poults and these two peababies under a lamp...and a bator full of turkey and pea eggs.
