Eggs are looking Good

Congrats on all the new babies--- I am SO HOPING to get one of my four eggs to hatch!!! (all four would be great)!!!

I wish it didn't take so long for them to hatch; this is so nerve-wracking!!!
I am with you on that! I also have 4 eggs developing nicely and set to hatch June 23rd. 3 are from a spalding silver pied pen and 1 is from a black-shouldered silver pied pen. CANNOT WAIT to see what hatches out of these eggs!!! I am really hoping they all hatch, these babies will be treated like royalty when they come out of the egg.

I am using a candler I bought ither online or in the feed store...I can't remember... It is a GQF candler.

It looks like this:

Peafowl eggs are white, tan, and some have speckles. The ones my peafowl lay don't have speckles though.

Well I am only a few days away from when I need to increase the humidity and stop turning! In the mean time we are going to go get a different kind of baby animal...My dad has been wanting some squirrel dogs so tomorrow we will be getting two feist puppies. So we will be having peachicks and puppies all over the house.

Oh no! Keep them puppies away from your babies when they hatch!

I am not going to let them eat the peachicks. They will be supervised.

Last year our dog did pretty well with Peep when I hatched him out. I will try and let the puppies get used to the peachicks so that they will be friendly to peafowl when they get older but I will definately be watching them.

Okay the eggs have been moving since at least yesterday. They are slightly rocking but not a bunch. I can also hear the peachicks tapping on the eggs. Today they are still rocking and tapping but no pipping. Should it be taking this long? I don't remember how long it takes for them to finally break the shell. I am getting kinda antsy and really want all of these peachicks to hatch without problems. All six eggs are rocking slightly but not a ton. I am soo excited peachicks are so cute! :D

Good luck everyone on your hatching adventures!
