Eggs delayed for two weeks

Do you have a picture candling from the bottom? I see why you'd think longer because the bottom looks full. However that could just be the angle of the light and egg. Try placing the light behind the egg or on the other side.

That's great you're seeing some development! After some incredibly disappointing, expensive, hatches I now never order eggs for delivery between Thanksgiving and New Years. The post office is just too rough and unreliable during this time frame.

Foxfire was taking a break when I ordered these... day 20 for me. AC/mixes from MI and some LO from Meyers. Hatching currently out of boredom, and had time on my hands and i thought a free winter season. Come to find, I am getting back to work and adult kids are going to visit soon.

Not sure what you mean the bottom... like where the black is? I was always told to candle where the air sack is. But I can candle and get pictures later.
I’m surprised I’m seeing any development at all. When I ordered my first set of eggs, from a different seller, through the mail they were all broken and scrambled. Most exploded in the incubator. But the seller packaged these really well and none were broken. Doesn’t mean some weren’t scrambled. But so far none have exploded.

It's your call how to candle. There is no right or wrong way. It's personal choice. Through the air cell is a good way to start with because usually you can see something. I will add shipped eggs are tricky and less is more when handling them. I'm just saying I can't help judge development age, or see anything definitive, from that picture other than it's is developing.

I can take more pictures. Just not sure what you mean by bottom.

She is good, UThobby has bought them too.
I have! I've hatched three times from her eggs. She does sell on eBay. That's how I found her. I've been very happy with hatch rate. Most recent hatch was last August. I have 2 Marans and 3 Silverudd's pullets remaining from that hatch. She has a great variety of breeds and reasonable prices.

Now that I think about it 1/2 the eggs in my avatar pic are from Foxfire. From the blue eggs down (blue, Marans, white, and greens).
