I removed most of the shell from the air cell area. The blood vessels are visible on the membrane.

OK so what temp is your incubator at now and what is the humidity level? Is the membrane dry on the chick? If so you need to put some coconut oil or vaseline on it to keep it moist. This, hopefully will prevent him from being shrink wrapped in the membrane. How long ago did you remove the shell?I removed most of the shell from the air cell area. The temperature is 100 now and the humidity is 60. The membrace isn't dry. I removed the shell two days ago.OK so what temp is your incubator at now and what is the humidity level? Yes it is a staggered hatch. Our incubator is a old refrigerator with three big egg turners and almost all of the eggs have different hatch dates. I kinda figured he won't make it but I hope he does. Are you doing a staggered hatch? Do you have more eggs in your incubator that are scheduled to hatch later? I am sorry, but I am not holding out much hope for this little one. I am hopeful that @Pyxis will come back and advise but as he has been in this position for such a long time, I dont think there is much hope of him being healthy if he does actually make it out of the shell.![]()
