Eggs fertilized

I have two diferent breeds of chicken and all year year the chicken are together and i want to collect eggs for hatch , but i dont know how long i should put him in a cage next to save the breed ? My questions is how long one egg is fertilized ?

I would keep them together for a month and just collect the eggs when there is a good handfull,
