All my chickens are free range during the day, and I recently found an area under a tree with 10 eggs in it! I have no idea how long they have been there, but my young chickens just started laying not even 3 months ago, so they cant be older than Im assuming 6 weeks, probably not even that long. Considering they have been outside and through a wide range of temperatures, should I keep them or toss? Thanks so much, Im a new chicken mom!

Yeah, I just found a cache of 2 dozen eggs. Dang, all those lovely eggs. We're going to see if they're fresh, and feed the less fresh ones to the birds.

You could float test them to see if they are any good. But if you are in doubt, the best bet would be to throw them out. Better than making your family sick. Plus, the chickens will be happy to eat them for you!
