eggs had a bad trip

I have to have eggs shipped or am out of luck. I get mine at the Post Office, and order from states that are closer to me, ( and people I know do a good job). Its a roll of the dice though. Some eggs net 0% others over 50, which is good for shipped eggs. There are some real comedians in the USPS force, and you have to hope you miss them. My Post Master said "DON'T put fragile on the box. It enrages them!" He might be over reacting.

Your Post Master is not over reacting, he is stating a fact that he knows to be true. They don't report each other for the simple reason some police officers will not report a fellow officer for breaking the rules. They have to work with the rule breaker every day. Stuff happens when you report a fellow worker.

I just posted this in a similar post. I received this box and none broken. Eggs were bubble wrapped, all but 1 hatched.

I ship a lot of reptiles all over the world and that is exactly why my packages say nothing on the outside of them about what is in the box. I don't mark perishable, this side up, nothing. Bottom line is that the post office, UPS, or fedex will not treat your package any better no matter what you write on it. Most of the handling is done by conveyer belts anyway. All marking the package does is cause unwanted attention and gives a disgruntled employee a way to take their anger out on your package. I know quite a few people that work for a shipping company and believe me, they don't care about what you write on the package. I have been lucky and have never lost a single animal, but I still can't sleep some nights when I have the higher dollar stuff going out. No amount of Ambien could knock me out the night I sent a $3000 snake to Thailand.
