thank you so much for reassuring me. I figured that if it gets too high in lockdown then I will have to try and make the room the incubator is in as cold as posible. I don't know how I am going to do that though.

I don't think keeping the room cold would be a good idea. It might make the incubator heater stay on due to trying to stay warm...?

I would just leave it alone and keep on lock down. Make sure you have your humidity right and all should be fine.

oh dear. how am I supposed to keep the tempereture down then. if I didn't keep opening the incubator today and yesterday it would have gotten so hot. how am I going to keep it from getting too hot if I can't open the lid when it is lockdown.

Yes, 39 is a bit high. Do you have vent plugs that would help if opened? What kind of heat do you have? A wafer?

39=102.2
38.5=101.3
38=100.4
37.5=99.5

A wafer is a round coiled thing that is the heating element or something. What is your heat source? Like a light bulb, or a wafer, or something like that.

ok, da da da da ( drum roll ) MY INCUBATOR. I think it is a bellsouth 100. does anyone know if these are good?

Hhmmmm, I don't know what kind of heating thing there is in that little box. Well, ya know, at 39, it isn't WAY high, just a bit, really. Maybe it will cool down a little over night. If this all just started, they will probably still be ok.

It started not yesterday but the day before. and the temperature has just been getting higher and higher even though the incubator is at it's lowest setting

I will just have to keep opening it for the next two days then in lockdown I will have to be the thermostat and keep turning the power on and off at the wall. I am sure that will get boring after a while
