first time i candled around day 10 you could see like veins and a darkspot.
and i candled the day i stoped turning and you could tell the chick took up almost all the shell. and it was moving
i have another question. will i see the egg move.
because i really think i can see the egg move every once in awhile and the side wigglin.
but i could be mistaken i could just want it bad enough im seein things lol . im still wishing!
I'm on day 21, with four pipped eggs but very little action after the pips. I do hear little peeps now and then, and if I get really close to the incubator (I'm thinking of trying to find my old stethoscope) I can actually hear little bitty intermittent tapping sounds.
I do NOT see the eggs move. BUT I look at the water reservoir and I can see the water surface wiggle now and then!! So that means there's movement in those eggs. Nothing dramatic, though.
Somebody else posted it can take 24 to 36 hours from the first peeping sounds to hatching...... I'm gonna hold that close to my heart, because I don't want to keep worrying that these chicks might die inside the eggs.
Try not to get too discouraged yet, if the temps in your incubator were maybe running a tad low then they might not start hatching til day 22. Give them at least til day 23 then if nothing happens I take a bowl of warm water and place the eggs in it and watch for movements. Doesn't take but a second to tell if there is a live chick in there, they start bouncing around quickly!
