eggs...hatching in turner?

All the eggs I set in my first 2 hatches, and with the hen, were pullet eggs. I read somewhere that smaller eggs will hatch early as well?

I've never had a problem with hatching mine in the turner while it was still turning. my turner has a gap in the center where the chicks usually, Always end up...no matter where they were to begin with. It gives them plenty of room to wobble around & get all dried off. I've never had a problem with it pinching feet/toes or anything like that either.

Only problem I've had with the turner is it exploded a bad egg(that didn't look bad the night before!)...all over a new chick too, it was awful *gag*.

Bantam eggs DO hatch earlier than standards, because the eggs are so much smaller. Less egg to heat, more heat absorbed by egg= early hatch. If they are hatching early and have problems like rough navels and such, you can simply urn the heat down in the bator by 1/2a degree. If theyare born fine, then do nothing different. I have my incubators set so my turkeys hatch on day 25 instead of day 28. They don't have any abnormalities from it.
