Eggs! I shouted, I WANT eggs!

I have 4 hens and a pullet, and getting one egg a day, most days. Their combs have reddened, I have pictures of them checking out the nests. Tonight, not a single one. I am making dire threats about having a bath in a soup pot!

Come ON girls, I am going to have to buy eggs AGAIN.

True! Maybe you should tell them that you're going to buy a couple dozen eggs at the store. That might do the trick

It’s cold here rn but my girls have just gotten back to the usual one form each good luck with yours and I threaten mine with no heads all the time they just don’t care

I'm pretty much getting exactly 1 a day. My layers (all 2 of them) are taking turns, every other day.

There is hope. I got an egg from one of the hens returning to laying yesterday and I *think* I got a pullet egg, though I'm not sure because I'm expecting brown-brown, not yet another pinkish egg.

I am getting about 6 eggs a day...out of 25 layers...lol. But I do have some 8 month olds who kept us going for most of winter. I did see some signs that my older girls are gearing up.

I have three laying that have been laying, but we’ve had a bad cold snap and they all slowed down a bunch. One egg a day, two if I’m lucky. I understand, it takes a lot of energy to stay warm when it’s dropping down to 3*F at night, but still.
My husband mentioned needing to go buy eggs at the store, but I’ve had a couple non-layers start squatting for me, so hope is in the horizon! Just wish I knew how much longer.
