Eggs in incubator 8/22. Anyone else putting eggs in?

See, I have magic incubators. The eggs hatch faster then 21 days.
So day 3 is day 4. And day 4 would be day 6. And day 6 would be day 10.

Anybody buying that one? No, oh well. Worth a shot.

Ok, so today was day 4. Not yesterday.

Got done candling my eggs.
1 - im pretty sure is an unfertile egg.
2 - I think have now formed a blood ring
4 - I can only really see the veins, but they are green eggs so harder to see in.
11 - Can see the veins and a dot which should be the forming chicken

And 2 I can see a heartbeat!!!!

its only day 4.. so even if you think they're duds or quitters, leave them in as long as they don't stink. Candle again at day 10 (13 is even better) and reassess from there.

Now, if they start stinking - remove immediately but proceed with caution!!

The hatcher is done! I followed Rush Lane Poultrys directions and have a pretty snazzy cooler / incubator - aka the BillyBator! Now to get it up to temp and the bugs worked out, and hopefully my staggered hatch situation is solved!

That is when it finally comes out from underneath long enough to take a pic.

I candled mine today, too. Nothing obvious yet. Hoping that I'm just not an expert at this yet and the eggs are too dark to be able to tell.

Not stinking yet, so that's a plus. Hubby told me to chuck them but I refuse until they stink or after day 14.

My roo is molting... do they still breed when they molt?

I have NO idea about fertility when they molt - I used to breed finches but they were seasonal and the molt signaled the end of the breeding season, but chickens? Good question for Google!

Day 4 is way too early to make any decisions. When I candled the other day (day 6 or 7 for that group) I had ONE egg I was sure about, 1 or 2 that I saw veins, and the others I thought were lost to the postal service. Today I candled and had only a few eggs that I thought were NOT developing. Don't chuck those eggs, tell hubby to relax, and just wait!
