So its day 19 for my 18 eggs in incubator. They are a mix of bantams, silkies, frizzles and polish. Exciting and stressful. One egg has pipped this morning which seems pretty early to me. It's cheeping now out of its tiny little hole. I hope it will keep doing well 🙏 humidity is 75 ish and temp consistent... let's see what happens. Any advice and hints for these next few days very very much appreciated 💚 its the egg at the back with the teeny tiny hole

How exciting! We just locked down this morning. Day 18 here. I'm testing a total dry hatch. My bathroom is around 55% humidy. I don't want to overdo the humidy so I'm letting them dry hatch and I closed the door and steamed up the room with hot shower. It's easier to control the room than water in the incubator so I'm testing it this way. If I see any chicks starting to shrink wrap I will add water to the incubator. Hard to tell what to do in my situation.

Very interesting... see how it goes 😊😊

My little 9am pipper still shows no signs of zipping yet, its 5pm here... just the tiny hole and a slit in the membrane which it's beak peeps out of occasionally. It also cheeps back in response if I tap the side of the incubator or shine a torch on it. The egg at the back in the image. How do I know when or if I should assist?

I'm on my first hatch so I don't have experience but I have read to wait 12-24 hours before trying to assist.

Yes all the very best. What breeds have you got?
I have 7 eggs Brown Leghorn roo over Easter eggers hens. 13 eggs Delaware and Delaware roo over Golden Laced Wyandotte hens.

I am particularly in love with the brown leghorn rooster. He's been my favorite. I eagerly await a son from him.

How nice. All the best.

My goodness I don't think I'm going to get any sleep tonight 👀👀👀
