I've said it before and I'll say it again....only smart people deserve to eat fresh farm eggs. The rest get what they deserve...bland, pale, processed eggs that have no redeeming qualities except to bind flour together in a recipe.

I posted earlier today on the Michigan thread about offering my neighbor some fresh eggs. She will never eat something that comes out of a chickens butt.
I'm convinced that some people simply refuse to be educated.

Is it just me, or did that chickens butt look like a person's mouth after that egg came out? You can see the lower lip, and the tip of a tongue...

I have caught eggs just as they came out before, while they are warm and slightly sticky. I love that.

But now I have to wonder... When I have eggs available at the farmers market, I have a wicker basket that I lined with straw and put in feathers that I just thought were pretty. Then I have a dozen ceramic eggs (some brown and some white) in the basket. I wonder if that grosses some people out? I do get a lot of compliments from people who tell me that it looks real.

Oh my God, are you saying you are putting disgusting feathers and disgusting straw amongst the disgusting eggs??? How dare you! Don’t you know that’ll make people sick to their stomach????

I have a friend that will only eat food from the store. She refuses my free eggs and canned food... she won't even eat pears off her pear tree in her backyard.

If the food crises really hits ... I'll miss her!

I don’t get what these people are thinking. I mean, how much fresher can you get it? What is better than tomatoes, that were just picked from the bush, so you have the delicious tomato smell all over your hands….compared to the sad red mushballs at the store????

You know what that reminds me of? I once had a horse that was raised strictly on hay. No grass, no grain, nothing. Once she came to my farm it took me 6 months to explain to her that grass was much better than hay and so was grain. She had never been stalled so stalls freaked her out too. I even paired her with other horses so that she could learn. Maybe it has to do with their upbringing, but logic alone would tell you that stuff off the tree is fresher and tastier than off the store shelf.
