eggs keep dying

I will post a picture tonight. I really want to see how they are now since knowing what I know now. I would like to see what stage you guys think they are in now.

Had another one expire. The rest of the embryos were moving around. There air cells were about the size of a quarter. The one that didnt make it I took pictures. I am not sure if this was just not developing and finally died or if it is an indication as to the size of the remainder.

Looks like somewhere between day 6 and day 8. It's hard to tell without perspective of size in relation to the whole.

Would there be any chance of them developing at different stages, for the ones that are alive? And is this one a good indicator of what is in there?

Hot and cold spots in the incubator influence development, so some may be ahead by a little, but not likely too far. Your flashlight should tell you.

Original hatch date would be the 9th. I think I will push that date out and lock down the 10th and hopefull hatch on Monday. What do you think?

An extra day of lockdown won't hurt, if in doubt lock down earlier.

My rule of thumb is when there is little "clear" space around the chick below the air cell, it's time to lockdown. Temperature variations will change the date this happens. The fluid makes it easier for them to turn, and once they turn, they consume the fluid before internally pipping.

I guess I will be able to tell at what would be day 18 for current chicks. Gosh I just want these to survive so badly. Thank you so much for all of your help. You have been so patient and kind.
