Hi! I have four Astrolorp hens they are over 2 years old. My egg a few weeks ago had a wierd cluster of what looked like eggs in it... nothing unusual since... then this afternoon This egg was laid and I got it still warm as I did hear her lay it, the same kind of eggs on the outside. I would like to know what exactly it is? I will be wormimg them next week, but is this a worm egg?? I'm a bit scared .. looks like minimum blood on this egg shell too. Hope someone actually knows what this is as it's clearly coming from inside the hen. The girls look and behave healthy otherwise, I'm getting between 1 & 4 eggs a day it's pretty random but generally 2-3 a day.

Hi thank you for your reply. I will search calcium deposist and see if they look the same. This is very clearly smooth looking, individual bits, unlike the rough, powdery look that some eggs get? I hope thats all this is!

Thanks guys! After you told me the name I could google 'calcium deposits' and get images that accurately match my eggs :-D I am relieved it's not some gross parasite or something!
