I have 50 eggs in my bator and 2 have started to pip about 1 hour ago just a bit of shell off on the outside no hole. I am really nervous also afraid they won't get out. It my first time. I pick up one of the eggs and heard a the baby. How long should it take to hatch:). It day 21.

They can take over 24 hours, so don't worry as long as you keep the humidity up and the bator CLOSED! your babies will get out fine. Relax and enjoy the fun! and get used to not sleeping, LOL!

Congrats!

It is very exciting but you must leave them alone now. My first chicks hatched last weekend and it is so hard to just watch but you HAVE to!!I have 4 lovely chicks out of 10 eggs - the others turned out to be infertile but cos their shells were so dark I could not see that when I candled. I am happy with 4 out of 10 for my first hatch.
Good luck

Leave the bator closed or your humidity will not be where it needs to be. I am on my first hatch and I had one hatch early yesterday morning and 1 egg was pipped for over 18 hours before it finally zipped and hatched. I haven't opened my bator since I put it on lockdown. I now have 6 hatched and another zipping right now. I still have to wait as I have 10 other eggs I am waiting on to do something. It's hard to not open it but it needs to stay closed.
