Oh my gosh they are so cute! Looks like you got a couple seramas do you have any white or yellow with a dark mark on them black or grey? That one one the last picture looks to have a dark mark on wing, the one by the Duccle? Keep a eye one the black ones coloring as the feathers come in as alot I have this year have the Milllie coloring in them.
They are lovely please keep us all up to date, and once again I wish you all hens

It also looks like you might have a old english, I didnt think they where laying and monarc23 emailed me and she has one that looks the same in her batch. My girls are all black no feet feathering and are in a cage by themselves with a pure black roo. As you know we where on vaca and the kids collected, and this week a few OEs have gone broody. Do any have poofs on there heads as I hatched out a couple when we got back and they where from my silkie and sizzle hen, they would be the only ones you have not pure they are in different pens with a serama rooster and a Millie Fluer Duccle rooster that my kids cryed over getting new homes for lol, so there girls are the silkie and sizzle hens.
I have got to get back to the stove trying to get reay for saturday. A friend here has employed me to make a 4 layer wedding anniversery cake... oh it better not fall LOL

I wish I was 4 hours closer I could come on over and check those babies out... but then I suppose we wouldnt have the land we have and there for wouldnt have had the chickens for you to test the eggs in the first place

For some reason when you type "eggs" today it says rooster?? Or is it just me LOL
OK I looked again and I'm right the thing that comes out of the chicken that you can eat or hatch when you type that word it comes through as rooster LOL

thanks so much i really do hope the rest of the eggs hatch i would love a silkie or sizzle or frizzle i need to get some of those eggs from you next time lol, i also am hoping all the ones i have hatched already are going to make it but it looks like i have 2 really weakes ones i might lose today

but i will keep you updated as much as i am for the remaining eggs i have no pips that includes 4 from yours PQ and 6 from the other person

me too i will find out in 2 hours and 15 mins if my chicks are all doing ok maybe they just got a little cold when i was cleaning the brooder so they froze up but once they got back to temp they are fine i hope so i will post here tomorrow as soon as i can about whats going on

unfortunetly i have lost one of my small white/yellow bantams due to unkown circumstances

and it seems 2 more bantams are not doing so good 1 more yellow and one black

i took all my bantams and move them into their own brooder i set up out of a fish tank it is so heart breaking im sorry PQ for not taking better care of the chicks, i just wish i wasnt working these 12 hours shifts it is killing me, i will also send you an email too, i did happen to stop by the local feed store today and boy did i fall for a trap i got 25 "ameraucana" aka easter eggers lol and 1 meat bird im such a sucker thats why i moved the bantams to their own brooder as to not have them get trampled here are pics of the "ameraucana" i picked up today

Where in Hayward did you find chicks LOL!
I'm sorry you lost some chicks do not worry it happens, I know you care greatly for yor birds and some times they die. Just got a email from someone who was cleaning there brooder and put all chicks banty and standards in one box and one of the bantys got stepped on and died later. They are tiny and it has been known to happen no mater how much care you give them. Maybe next time I can get you out some turkey eggs! Blessings Tonya

i would love to do turkeys but i would need some duck eggs to go with them for their long time in the bator , you understand dont you lol, also i know it happens in my first incubation attemp i had 1 silkie hatch ha dit in brooder only to find it the next morning smashed it was trampled all over, i need to do a solid bantam hatch no mid size or standards or jersey giants lol, but i still want my silver laced and golden laced birds i will look into getting silver seabrights and golden seabrights do you have any of them?

I think chicks are a perfect example of Darwinism or 'survival of the fittest'. Trample or be trampled! Kind of like in humans how 'the nice ones' get walked all over.
