Eggs shelf life?

I now have 12 hen laying. My family eats about 18 a week so we are good on eggs for awhile. I contacted the local food pantry and asked if they took farm fresh eggs to give those who are hungry and in need. The lady said they would love to have them as they haven't got any for a long time. She even told me to come by and they would give me the cartons. My question is how should I date the cartons? I was going to put the collection date but didn't want anyone throwing them away thinking they were old. I don't know how to give an accurate expiration date.

Id write collected on then the date, or Farm Fresh, and leave it at that, eggs from the store are getting on a month old and are good 2-4 months after, from what I've seen around here, Someone else can probably be of more help.

I have read that they are good UNWASHED for up to 90 days at room temperature. If you refrigerate them, maybe double that.

My eggs never last that long around here... But I think putting a 90-day expiration on your unwashed eggs is a safe bet.

I think the collected date might be appropriate....
You really can't assume to know when they might 'expire', plus it may put you at risk for liability.
Folks have very varied perceptions(and some gross misinformation) about home grown eggs

Some food pantries won't even take farm eggs....I'd ask the pantry what they want on the carton, if anything.

Food pantries around here Can't accept darn eggs, they have to be government inspected.

I'll be donating after august 4th as I'm waiting for the pullet eggs from some new girls to get bigger. Also I wormed them with wazine so I have to give them the withdrawal time.
