eggs sound like porcelain/ceramic - humans are still alive

Howdy chicken lovers!!
Elgin SC here and new to raising chickens. My silky eggs sound like porcelain/ceramic when placing them in the basket with other eggs. When I crack them open they are fine. I will try posting a video tomorrow with sound if this allows it. Why does this occur? 2-3 year old girls and it started about three weeks ago. We have not died yet, so inside must still be good.
