eggs with white cast?

Hi All,

I am new to raising Coturnix quails - we just acquired 4 hens that are actively laying (~3 months old) this past Monday. They seem to be settling into their new digs okay! Today one of the hens laid an egg that has a white cast on it? It almost looks like the egg was dipped in whiteish powder. Is this indicative of any kind of a problem I should be aware of? Thanks in advance for the help - there's so much to learn!

Sounds like the egg has a heavy bloom (bloom is a coat the hen covers the egg in to keep bacteria and such out of the egg).
