I have heard because of egg eating
in quail you should always have
a roll away for the eggs is this
true

Assuming we are talking about coturnix here - reading this forum, you will find some people have roll out trays for the eggs and some don't. So obviously you don't exactly need it. But if your birds accidentally crack an egg and develop a taste for the contents - then yes, you might need a roll out tray to avoid loosing too many eggs.

Raised thousands of them never seen one that actually breaks eggs to eat them the way chickens do.
